  • As a HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist, I am trained in a range of evidence based psychological therapies recommended by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE).

I often work integratively, meaning I draw on different therapeutic models depending on your individual needs, goals and circumstances. My primary therapeutic approaches are Mentalisation-Based Treatment (MBT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, both of which are widely used in the treatment of trauma, emotional and interpersonal difficulties.

I also draw on other evidence-based approaches where helpful, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and third-wave therapies such as mindfulness-based approaches and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT).

When deciding on the most appropriate therapeutic approach, I consider both current clinical evidence and NICE guidance, alongside your personal goals and the difficulties you would like support with.

  • Following your initial free consultation, your first session will be a comprehensive assessment to explore your current struggles, therapy goals and relevant background information.

The length of psychological therapy varies depending on your needs, goals and the nature of the difficulties you are experiencing. Some people find short-term therapy is helpful for addressing a specific issue or developing new coping strategies. Others may benefit from longer-term therapy, particularly when working with more complex or longstanding difficulties such as trauma, relationship patterns or emotional difficulties that have developed over time.

All appointments are 50 minutes long.
